So life has begun to go a million miles an hour! I have started Humboldt and I'm likin' it. It's a lot different than high school. I'm taking 19 credits and I have three really small jobs. I work at Brother Childers Insurance Agency as a file girl, I grade papers for a teacher, and I hang up posters in Eureka for the HSU Music Department. I've met some people in my classes from all over the place. I know people from Alaska, Texas, Hawaii, Virginia, Southern California, and Indonesia to name a few. It's cool to meet people that didn't grow up here and see how different their lifestyles are.
I'm attending the Humboldt branch and I'm likin' that too. Miriam Jukes is the Relief Society President and we are becoming good friends. She's really cool. People have moved here from out of the area that are going to HSU and attend the branch too and they are all pretty awesome. Joe and I are the new gospel doctrine teachers. We switch off every week and help each other out with the lessons. I am also the branch pianist and he is also a branch missionary. I was able to be there with he and his familywhen Joe got the ordained to the office of an elder and got the Melchizedek priesthood . That was really special that I could be there. His bishop said he wouldn't even think to not have me there.
My family is going to Utah in a few weeks and I'm not able to go. I have too much school and I have a few performances for the Humboldt Symphony and I'm watering grandma and grandpas plants while they're out of town. I have to hold down the fort here in California for a week and a half. But they plan on having tons of fun.
Well I hope this is enough of an update for now. I'll get some pictures on here soon!!
