First day of school
Isaacs last year of elementry school, Bethany is in seventh grade and Im a Senior!!! It feels pretty good. I made the dress as I have previously said. Every single person that I saw today at school said something about my dress. It was a hit! When the sun came out, some people actually had to shade their eyes from the glare.

Bethany- Can I handle being the oldest sister in the house?
Sunday, August 27, 2006
So what styles are coming back in?

Well when you get two teenage girls in the same house and they have nothing to do, strange things can happen. Camille and I went to Elles going away party in these outfits. They went over quite well. This is definatly going to be an outfit that I wear to school. Having Camille over for a few days before school starts was very fun.

Stowaway!!
On the trek, there were no bugs but grasshoppers for miles. You would walk and they would clear a path for you and run into your legs and go up your dress and get stuck in your underpants - it was not pretty. We got back Sunday afternoon and that evening, dad comes into my room crying, "Naomi! Get the camera and come to the kitchen!" "Oh," I thought. "Isaac did something crazy again." So I grabbed the camera and went into the kitchen to find a grasshopper on the table! I about jumped out of my pants. There was no way that thing could have been in our stuff the whole way home. It was like my worst nightmare come true! The grasshoppers were attacking. I had grown quite a hateful passion for those little things during the trek. Isaac was very entertained by the whole thing and it now lives in his little bug cage on the kitchen counter. He brings it to my room every night and tells me with a evil grin on his face, "Naomi, he wants to sleep with you." He only does that because he loves the shriek it gets out of me.

Exchange Students
Ola and Naouress were some of my dearest friends my junior year. Ola lives in Egypt and Naouress lives in Tunisia. Oh how i miss them!
Theater Class!!
Ice Skating
Ensign Peak
Gideon took us to the Ensign Peak while the Messerlys were on temple square for Mels wedding. We had to steer clear because they didnt know that we were in town. We didnt want to risk a running into with them. The view from up there was awesome. It was so hot that day. Bethany and I werent used to that kind of weather coming from Eureka.
We did get to go to the Church Office Building. Bethany did a great pose for this picture by the fountain outside of the COB. I love my beautiful little sister. She is the greatest.
Hangin with Sarah
Bethany and I were at Sarahs with the girls for a while also. Ruby and Grace are two of the cutest little nieces ever. But Hannahs having her baby soon so there might be some competition.
Sarah took us to Snowbird Ski Resort. We took a trolly to the top of this mountian where the view was awesome. We could see back down into the valley toward Sandy. There was still snow in June!!
UTAH!!
Bethany and I went to Utah for ten days at the beginning of the summer and it was so much fun! Hannah and the other kids pitched in and got us out there. We were going to suprise Brittanye and Emilye at Mel and Kips reception and, boy, were they suprised. It was a great reunion.
When we were with the Messerlys for a few days, we went to Lagoon. It was so awesome to spend time with them. I almost got sick from going on so many roller coasters and not having the stomach that was used to it.
Camille!!! She came to The Thanksgiving Point gardens with us. We had lots of fun with the statues. We also found some of the biggest hills i had ever seen and Bethany, Camille, Grace and I rolled all the way down them. It took for ever to walk back up them.
Hannah teaches a class at The Quarry every saturday and she took us with her. Gideon came with us too.
Me, Gideon, Bethany, and Amy at the Quarry. I got up to a 5.8 which was pretty exciting because I have no idea what the numbers mean that correspond with the climbing route.
More Trek
The only reason you can tell this is day one is because there is no dirt on us yet. Our smiles never changed but our testimonies and the color of our clothes changed dramatically.
Yes it is true. I actually shot a gun. Three to be exact. It was one of the funnest things that I did out there! The last gun kicked a bit more than the other two and my pa had to catch me before I fell on the ground. And, of course, Cory is in the back laughing and making fun at me. Classic.
Here is the prize winning picture of the century. Ya- I took it. There was no laughing at Cory- he hit the can!
Another really good shot that I got of Cassy while she was writing in her journal. If she would have seen me she would have thought I was someting in the weeds looking at my lunch.
Danny manning the grill... well the dutch oven. There is nothing better than food in the wilderness!! My sibilings can back me up on that one!!
Trek 2006

I just got back from the most amazing experience that I have had in my young life so far. I went on the stake trek. Im truly sorry for all of those who never got a chance to participate in one but it was awesome. My testimony has grown so much and the youth of our stake are so much closer now. The weather was great and the company was choice.

Everyone got to dress up in pioneer clothes and we pushed handcarts for three days and covered a total of twelve miles. The sunset on saturday night was absolutly breathtaking. For about ten minutes the whole camp just watched as the sun went down over the ocean. We had made it to the top of our mountian- The Salt Lake Valley.

Sunday was the last day and it was a beautiful day. It got a bit hot and I almost passed out from the heat but thanks to the help from Joe and his trusty hat, I was well taken care of.
