our spontanious adventurous road trip!!!

so i was talking to joe last thursday night and he said that he finally had three days off of work and he was thinking to ask me if i wanted to go down to jackson near sacramento. i had planned to do something else that weekend already so i didnt think we should go. i got home that night and realized... what am i thinking!! that would be the coolest thing ever. we have been wanting to go down the since may!! by friday evening we had everything in line and by 9:45 saturday morning we were on the road to jackson!!

we stopped in willits for lunch and needless to say we decided to get some root beer so we could take some funny pictures.

drinking while driving? is that a new thing?(if you look closely, its not even open)

right as we came into the valley on highway 20 our air conditioning quit. we had no idea why but it was not good. it was about 1:30 and it was starting to get hot. it must have been about 110 degrees in that car. we couldnt put the windows down cuz we were oging 75 miles an hours down I-5. we had to sit there and take the hot air coming through the vents. splended eh?

we stayed at the saldates house. the cherrys and the saldates honestly grew up in eachothers houses. they are all really close.

we went to jamba juice saturday night. this is joe and maria. we just called her ria. she's beccas age.

and this is jake. he is joes age and the first saldate that i met. he has come up to humboldt a few times to visit the cherrys. hes always got a joke up his sleave and is really fun company.

hard core monopoly game- star wars version. jordan totally killed us all and the game finally came to an end at 1:30 in the morning. no one goes to bed early in the saldate house.

becca and i went down to sutter creek near the saldates house. the cherry and saldate kids got their picture in the paper when they were playing this creek. it was a little dark but we could still see it even though you cant in the pictures.

at 9:30 on night we three decided to go to the park by their house. why not? it was a nice night. it was way fun playing on all of the play equiptment and talking about girl stuff. yanno.

joe was excited to finally go on a trip with his new ipod.

this is jordan and becca the morning we left. we had to get up early and no one was enjoying that part of the whole thing.

this is me the morning we left. i had to be awake cuz i drove first.

becca and i in willits on the way home. after this point, we were on the home stretch. it took an hour more to get home because of bad drivers and road construction. joe almost didnt make it back in time for work tuesday night.

drivers awake then drivers asleep. it was a long way home. the last hour we got pretty crazy and delerious from being together in a confined car for so long. im sure we were quite a sight when we got home.
