she is not the picture in the magazine

shes the woman just behind you in the checkout stand

she may appear to be common but she mystifies

all the ways of wisest men

children understand

she has eyes that sparkle with her love

and she has a smile thats as gentle as a dove

and no woman in the movies or an ad could ever hope to be

is as wonderful as shes

shes is not a highly honored diplomat

held responsible to lead the world to peace

but what she does is every bit as serious

midst the turmoil that never seems to cease

cuz she has hands that wipe the tears away

and shes has a voice that makes everythink ok

and no woman from the papers or tv could ever hope to be

is as indespenseible as she

and it brakes my heart every time i see her wonder

if she means anything in this world that pulls her under

and she doesnt always see the way that heaven smiles above her

thats the reason i try to always tell her that i love her

she may not be known for giving millions

to the charities or acutions on the news

but i believe shes given more than anyone

for all the times shes ever had to choose

to give up sleep to rock her children every night

to give her heart to always hold their dreams so tight

mom, there will never be a way to thank you for everything you did for me while growing up. i konw i am the wonderful and successful person that i am because of you and dad. i miss you guys tons and just wanted to say thank you. i love you.
